As I played MGS Portable Ops and finished I was mesmorized by Natasha Farrow's Calling to the Night. And then I remember the feeling of being mesmorized by every single Metal Gear's ending theme.
The music just always makes me feel like a hero. ANy other soundtracks that you guys just find amazing?
And the Tenchu Intro themes are some of the most beautiful....ah memories...
MechWarrior 2 has my favorite soundtrack of all time, although I must second Fallacy on the glory of Marty O'Donnell's Halo soundtracks, all of which are on my iPod. Is it wrong that I'm looking forwards to the Halo 3 soundtrack more than the game itself?
No thread on game soundtracks would be complete without a mention of Uematsu Nobuo's One Winged Angel. I'm partial to the Advent Children version, which isn't VG music per se, but it's close enough. I actually know the lyrics to it. Perhaps going to a Roman Catholic elementary school made it easier to memorize songs in Latin.

Speaking in terms of Final Fantasy music that is actually in a game, I've grown quite fond of Final Fantasy Versus XIII's trailer song. Versus will be one of the best Final Fantasies in my opinion, escpeically because it's being produced by Tetsuya Nomura (The man behind Kingdom Hearts and who has done many monster and character designs for many Final Fantasies)

My god, thats one of the coolest trailers ever! And the song was great aswell.
And I agree with Genja partially, but have to disagree when it comes to which Version of one winged Angel I prefer. And that would be the original from the PS one version.

To add some more FF music (I'm a giant FF fanatic), I recently beat Final Fantasy XII and enjoyed the music during the final cutscene, which shows the characters a year later. _________________ .:sp3ct3rs and d34dm3n:. ||| F4LL4CY |||
